South Carolina Trip And Fuel Permit - IRP and IFTA permits for South Carolina

Trip Permit 

A Temporary Trip Permit is issued in lieu of IRP plates for travel within South Carolina. The fee for a Temporary South Carolina Trip Permit is $15 and is valid for 72 hours. Permits can be obtained through a permitting service, who will charge an additional processing fee.

Fuel Permit

A Temporary Fuel permit is issued in lieu of IFTA licensing for travel within South Carolina. The fee for a Temporary South Carolina Fuel permit is $15 and is valid for 10 days. Permits can be obtained from the Motor Carrier Services office, located at 10311 Wilson Blvd., Blythewood, South Carolina 29016 or through a permitting service, who will charge an additional processing fee.
