Prince Edward Island Oversize and Overweight Fines and Penalties

No person shall drive on a highway a vehicle that, including its load and contents, has a height above the surface of the highway greater than 4.15 m, but the Minister or such other person as may be authorized by him may, upon application in writing, issue a permit for that vehicle to be operated on a highway subject to the conditions, if any, mentioned in the permit and the permit shall be displayed at all times in a conspicuous position inside the vehicle. A person who violates any provision of this Act or any regulation made hereunder, if no other penalty is provided in this Act or the regulations is liable, on summary conviction, to a fine of not less than $100 and not more than $500.
