Simplify Your Oversize/Overweight Loads

Daylight hours, (one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset). Loads/vehicles not over 10′ wide or 14′ high or not over 10′ rear overhang are allowed continuous travel. Loads not over 14′ wide, 16′ high, 120′ long and 250,000 pounds may travel on Interstate and specified state routes from 3:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on weekends. Over dimensional vehicles are not permitted during the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
All overwidth loads 9' or more wide must display "Oversize Load" signs. Size: 6' long, 1' high Letters: Black, 6" high, 1" brushstroke Background: Yellow
All oversize vehicles must display 18” square fluorescent orange or red flags at four corners at the extremities of the load and on the extremity of extensions beyond the four corners of the load (Ref Sec R17-6-302).
All Oversize Vehicles -During night time operations, red warning lights at four corners at the extremities of the load and on the extremity of extension beyond the four corners of the load (Ref Sec R17-6-304).
