Simplify Your Oversize/Overweight Loads
Note: For state regulations, see OD Regulations By State
The City is empowered, but not required, to issue a Permit to allow for the movement of these vehicles or loads, as well as to place reasonable restrictions on their movement, such as routes and times of day when the movements may occur. This oversight is important to ensure that drivers are aware of construction and detours along their proposed route, to ensure adherence to truck routes whenever possible, and to maintain awareness of when and where these movements will occur in the interests of public safety.
The cost for a Permit is $33. The applicant is expected to submit payment to the City immediately upon receipt of Permit. Payment may be submitted in-person at the City of Turlock's Finance Division during normal business hours or by sending a check payable to "City of Turlock" via mail to: City of Turlock, Finance Division, 156 S. Broadway, Ste. 114, Turlock, CA, 95380. All payments shall indicate the permit number(s) to which the payment applies. A single payment may be made for multiple permits.
