ANNUAL PERMIT


Maximum Dimensions: 

Axle: 

a) Minimum axle spacing: 

 Distance between any two axles: 3’0” 

 Steer axle to next axle: 10’0” 

 Rearmost axle on the motor vehicle or jeep dolly to the front-most axle on the towed vehicle: 20’0” 

 Any spacing less than those noted above will reduce the maximum weights allowed 

 For self-propelled special mobile equipment, the maximum allowable weights and weight class will be determined by MnDOT and indicated on the permit 

b) Maximum Tridem and Quad axle group spacing: 

 Tridem: 18’0” with pivot point and 15’0” without pivot 

 Quad: 22’0” with pivot point and 17’0” without pivot 

c) No over-legal weight is allowed on a vehicle combination having less than five axles. Self-propelled special mobile equipment with fewer than five axles is allowed to be overweight.
