Simplify Your Oversize/Overweight Loads

Travel is prohibited for loads in excess of 10' wide, 105' OAL, and 14' high during the following holidays: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day. Holiday travel restricted: (1) Monday Holiday: travel prohibited 2:00 pm the Friday before until daylight Tuesday. (2) Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Holiday: travel prohibited 2:00 pm the day before until daylight the day after. (3) Friday Holiday: travel prohibited 2:00 pm Thursday until daylight the following Monday. ("Daylight = 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset) Nighttime travel generally permitted. Restrictions will be on permit.
Loads in excess of 10' wide, 14' high, or 105' long must display an "Oversize Load" sign. Size: 7' long, 18" high Letters: Black, 10" high, 1 5/8 brushstroke Background: Yellow
Red or fluorescent orange flags, 18" square, are required for all loads that exceed 10' in width. Flags shall be attached to all extremities of the load.
Tow vehicles use low beam headlights, day or night. Warning lights at night and in reduced visibility. Warning Lights: Front overhang marked with amber light. Rear overhang marked with red clearance lights. Use amber lights front and center to mark extremities of the load. Use red lights to the rear to mark extremities of the load.
