New Brunswick Oversize and Overweight Fines and Penalties

Every person who violates any provision of this by-law is guilty of an offence. The driver of a commercial vehicle having more than two axles or a registered gross vehicle mass of more than twenty two thousand pounds (22,000 lbs) shall not use any highway within the City of Fredericton except a truck route. Every person charged with an offence under Sections 22.01, 22.02, and 22.03 of this by-law may, on or before the date a charge pertaining to the offence has been laid in Provincial Court, make a voluntary payment of one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00) to the City of Fredericton, as set out in paragraph 23.05(1) and (2) below.
