Running Hours and Holiday Restrictions

Permit vehicles/loads may move one-half hour before sunrise until one-half hour after sunset, Sunday through Saturday. Loads in excess of 12' wide may move from 1/2 hour before sunrise until 3:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Holiday prohibitions begin at noon the day preceding New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Easter weekend restrictions run from Sunrise on Good Friday until one-half hour before sunrise on the Monday following Easter.

"Oversized Load" Banner Regulations and Requirements

Oversize warning signs are required on the front and rear of any vehicle/load with an overall width of 10' or more or exceeding the maximum legal length. Size: 7' long, 18" high Lettering: Black, 10" high, 141" brushstroke Background: Yellow.

Flag Requirements

All oversize loads require 18" square red or orange flags at the corners of the load at the widest extremities of the load. Warning flags are also required at the corners or tip (overhang less than 24" wide) of any overhang.

Warning Lights: Color and Placement

No mention is made of light requirements on the vehicle/load. Escort vehicles require warning lighting.
